Steven Gelfer

Steven Gelfer was an American stage actor, singer, and dancer. He originated the role of Carbucketty in the Broadway Production of Cats. Steven died of leukemia in 1988 at the age of 39.^[1]

Biography (1982)[]

STEVEN GELFER's (Carbucketty) New York credits include West Side Story, Gypsy, The Beggar's Opera, American Dance Machine, Whoopee, and N.Y.C. Opera. A graduate of N.Y.U. and Indiana University, he has choreographed productions for Equity Library Theatre, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and Lakewood, the State Theatre of Maine.
