Stephen Hanan is an American theatre actor famous for portraying the role of Bustopher Jones, Asparagus and Growltiger in the Original Broadway Cast of Cats. He received a Tony Nomination for his work in the show. Hanan wrote a book detailing the experience of being in the original Broadway transfer cast - "A Cat's Diary"

1982 Biography
STEPHEN HANAN (Bustopher Jones/Asparagus/Growltiger) made his Broadway debut as Kevin Kline's Lieutenant in The Pirates of Penzance. Other credits include the Delacorte, Goodspeed, cabaret, and five years as San Francisco's reigning street-singer. He writes plays, songs and poetry, practices Yoga, and reveres the earth and it's sustaining spirit.
