The first Chilean production opened in Santiago at the Teatro Municipal de Las Condes on 14th March 2014 until 20th April 2014. The production was only supposed to run until 30th March but because of it's success, it extended until 20th April. Cats had played in Chile before when the Troika Tour stopped at the Movistar Arena in 2006.
Production Details[]
This was a non-replica production and had 27 artists in total, both local and international. They finish completing the team with an orchestra of 11 musicians supported by more than 20 professionals behind the scenes.
Different to the original, this production is set in an attic with the stage consisting of a huge chest of drawers and a giant lamp next to a sofa, large bed frames and mattresses, and a large bird cage over a pile of newspapers.
