Was born in Pieterrmaritzburg. He received tertiary ballet training at the UCT (University of Cape Town) School of Dance. He joined NAPAC Dance Company in 1990, moving to PACT Ballet in 1991. He joined Cape Town City Ballet in 1997, where he is presently a principal dancer. Most recent roles danced include: Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, the Immortal One in Christipher Kindo's Firebird, Franz in Jean-Paul Comelin's, Coppélia, Robin was awarded the Cape Town FNB Vita Award for Most Promising Choreographer. He is currently studying Checchetti Teaching Method. He has also been the recipient of awards from Nederburg, FNB and Dalro.
