Biography (2001)[]
Zeph was born in South Wales and started performing at the age of seven at the Madame Betty Richards Jones School of Dancing and later joined the Gwent Young People's Theatre, performing such roles as Renfield in Dracula and the Baron in The Thwarting of Baron Bollibrew. He also performed for the National Youth Theatre of Wales before studying for three years at the Guildford School of Acting.
Since then he has appeared in Starlight Express (Apollo Victoria London and Bochum, Germany); My Fair Lady (Aberystwyth Arts Centre); pantomime at the Churchill Theatre Bromley and the Anvil, Basingstoke.
In 1997 he was in the original company of the 25th anniversary production of Jesus Christ Superstar (Lyceum Theatre London, directed by Gale Edwards). Zeph played Philip and understudied Simon in the 96-97 production and played Judas in the International Blues Festival (Hell, Norway) in a concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar.
In 1998 he was in Cats (New London Theatre) where he played Victor and understudied Gus the theatre cat, Old Deuteronomy and played the Rum Tum Tugger. Pirates of Penzance (UK Productions UK tour), Jumpers by Tom Stoppard and the Narrator in Aladdin (Midlands Art Centre) are some of Zeph's more recent credits.
He is currently fronting a new Welsh band called Seed.
