Cats played in Moscow, Russia, from 2005 to 2006. The production opened on March 18, 2005, at the MDM Theatre and was produced by Stage Entertainment.

Cats was the first production staged by the Russian branch of Stage Entertainment.
The production used exceptionally beautiful costumes, and included the seldom seen "George" in the ensemble. This production used the NAP 17 set, that had been used in Madrid and went on to be used for the Dutch tour the following year.
