Jan Erik has his theater education from The Arts Education School, Drama Department, in London. He debuted in 1997 in the role of Benvolio in "Romeo and Julie" at the Theater in Molde. Then he went to Trøndelag Theater, where he played roles like Luc in the "Balkongen" (line Line Rosvoll) and William in "Hver Sin Lyst" (directed by Stein Winge) during the seasons 1998 and 1999. At this theater he also got his music debut as the rebel Perchik in "Spelemann på Taket" (directed by Morten Cranner), quickly followed by the role of Roger in the Scandinavian premiere on "RENT". Desired for several challenges in musicals, Jan Erik moved on to Hamburg, where he played Rum Tum Tugger in German production of "Cats" (2000). The same year he had a short guest performance in NGM / Nordic Artists' production of "Hair" in Oslo Spektrum (director Anthony van Laast). After a season in "Cats", Jan Erik was offered the role of the slick DJ Monty in the German Saturday Night Fever. After a hectic period of disco dance, he was also part of the Austrian Hair 2002 production. In the 2002 season 2003 he was left to look like Rum Tum Tugger in "Cats", this time in the Danish premiere of The New Theater in Copenhagen. Currently, Jan Erik is affiliated with Colloseum Theater Essen, where he plays the role of Zoser in the German premiere of Elton John and Disney's musical "AIDA". He is looking forward to making a guest performance here in Norway, and we are pleased to see him in the role he has gained so much honor and honor in Europe.
