Steven Wayne was a member of the original 1981 company of Cats, and remained in the show until 2000, playing George and the Rumpus Cat for the majority of this time.

Biography (1987)[]
Steven Wayne trained at the Arts Educational School and made his professional debut in pantomime. He then joined the Black and White Minstrels and subsequently the Second Generation. He has toured Britain in the American show Bugs Bunny in Space. In the West End his appearances include Chicago and Dick Whittington at the London Palladium. On television he has appeared in The Lenny and Jerry Show, in the Bognor series and in the first Children's Royal Variety Performance.
