The 2019 New Zealand Tour of Cats played in 16 cities from April to May 2019. This production was a non-replica "darker, more sensual" re-imagining of the show. The set was inspired by post-earthquake Christchurch, and the show takes place in a dilapidated Victorian theatre with a fallen roof dome.[1]
