Non-Replica Productions

Non-Replica productions are those which do not follow the direction of the original creative team - typically re-imagining the setting of the show, using new costume designs, often changing about which characters perform which parts of the show, and sometimes making significant cuts to the material. They may be fully professional productions, in repertoire with other shows, or performed by regional companies.

Sometimes productions have been mounted illegally - without obtaining the correct license to perform the show from the Really Useful Group. Notably in 2001, a production was mounted in Seoul, however without the licence, it was shut down.
