Cats was performed at the Lola Membrives Theater (Teatro Lola Membrives) in Buenos Aires in 1993. This production was produced by Televisa, the same company that produced the 1991 Mexico Tour, and this version uses the same Spanish translation by Marco Villafán but slightly altered for the Argentine dialect.
Production Details[]
This production is based on the original Broadway production, including pairing Tumblebrutus and Victoria during the Jellicle Ball, and having Alonzo play a big role in the Macavity Fight. However, it cut "The Awefull Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles" in its entirety.

Alonzo, Plato, and Quaxo
Like the preceding Mexico tour, this production has Quaxo as a named swing, with no featured moments. Mexico also had a named swing called Admetus, who is not present in Buenos Aires.
- At first glance Plato may be mistaken for a black and white Alonzo, due to the high contrast between light and dark in his wig and the patches on his body. In most surviving footage and photos he appears black and white with some grey hatching on his body.
- Alonzo, on the other hand, has the black and bronze and white patches of the Broadway tradition, plus some unusual elements like a strongly marked V shape between his shoulders when seen from behind.
Sillabub, Jemima, and Etcetera
As in the Mexico production, Etcetera is present as a named swing. Jemima has also been added. Neither has any featured moments. They each use the same basic design as an established London/Broadway swing character.
- Etcetera uses the Greycat/NBQ design, with a soft grey-brown airbrushed look over most of her body and darker markings on her shoulders and down her sides. She has no leg or arm warmers, no fluff on her shoulders, and a braided tail like Cassandra's rather than a fluffy one.
- Sillabub and Jemima can be confused from some angles, because Jemima uses the AJ design. This means that her costume is similar to Sillabub's but with larger white patches, making her strikingly asymmetrical. Her right side and leg are almost completely white but her right arm is black, while her left side is almost as dark as Sillabub's. Sillabub, on the other hand, is almost entirely symmetrical, with only a small white patch on her left hip (compare the gif of Sillabub with Alonzo and Victoria above.)
