Belinda originally began dancing in Queensland at the age of three. She moved to Melbourne in 1990 where she continued dancing with the Vivienne Academy of Dance. She performed in EXPO '88 with the Expo Kids Company in Brisbane and in 1989 played the part of Marta in the musical The Sound of Music. She has also done numerous television commercials. She performed on Melbourne's Pollywoodside in HMS Pinafore and played the lead role of Catherine in her school musical Crusade. She's performed in numerous showcase concerts as a solo vocalist and is now continuing her singing studies at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne. Cats is Belinda's first touring musical and she's proud to be part of it. She wants to thank her Mum, Dad, Vivienne and all her family and friends for their constant support in this dream of hers.
BELINDA PARSONS (née ALLCHIN) commenced training at the age of three at the Sue Harvey Academy of Dancing in QLD. She continued her training in Melbourne from the age of ten with Vivienne Academy of Dance in several different styles. Belinda went on to the Victorian College of the Arts to gain a Bachelor of Music Performance - in Improvisation of the Voice. Other theatre credits include: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber Tour to China, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber Live from the Great Hall of The People (DVD), Mack and Mabel (Production Company), HMS Pinafore, Eureka - Dance Captain (World Premiere), The Sound of Music, Crossroads (Workshop), Life's a Circus, Melbourne Cabaret Festival, A New Brain (Chapel off Chapel), and various other corporate events, concerts, and Television appearances.
